Gambaran Karakteristik Tekanan Darah Dosen di Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai

Abstract

Blood pressure is the pressure that comes from the blood and is pumped by the heart over the arterial wall. blood pressure is divided into systolic and diastolic blood pressure. the blood pressure that a person has, especially a lecturer who has a permanent job every day, will not always have normal blood pressure. sometimes a lecturer has high or low blood pressure. the amount of excessive workload that occurs in lecturers can cause stress which has an impact on increasing peripheral vascular resistance and stimulating sympathetic nervous system activity which ends in rising blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of blood pressure characteristics of lecturers at Hero University. The research was conducted on December 23-30, 2023 with a sample size of 61 respondents using total sampling technique. By using data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The results of univariate analysis obtained 4 conclusions based on the results of the description of the characteristics of blood pressure measurements obtained more in women. The conclusion is expected to lecturers of Tuanku Tambusai Heroes University in order to maintain health by dividing working hours better and consuming additional supplements to maintain better health.
