Peer Review Process
The selection process for manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis is conducted through a double-blind peer review, considering two main aspects: the relevance to the journal’s scope and its contribution to management theory and practical development. Editors provide constructive feedback throughout the process.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are not part of the journal’s editorial board. Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis strictly maintains impartiality by assigning different individuals as editors and reviewers for the same manuscript. This journal also adheres to COPE guidelines to ensure ethical and transparent publication practices.
The entire review process typically takes 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the availability and responsiveness of reviewers. Authors may follow up via email at mabis@umy.ac.id if there is no update after a reasonable period.
Review Stages
- Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal's submission system at https://journal.umy.ac.id/index.php/mb. - Initial Check
Submitted manuscripts are checked for formatting compliance, language clarity, and alignment with the journal’s scope. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned for correction or recommended for submission to another journal. - Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts undergo a similarity check using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% may be rejected during the desk review phase. - Editorial Evaluation
Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism check are reviewed by the editorial team to assess their scientific contribution and relevance to current business and management issues. Qualified manuscripts proceed to peer review. - Peer Review
At least two independent reviewers are assigned to evaluate each manuscript. They provide recommendations (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject). Final decisions are made by the Editor and Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers' input. - Revision
Authors are given 4 weeks to revise the manuscript. Extension requests must be sent via email to info.kredibel@abidan.org. Failure to respond within the timeframe will be considered as withdrawal of the submission. - Final Decision & Publication
Once accepted, the manuscript will be scheduled for publication in the assigned issue, as determined by the Editor-in-Chief. Authors may request a specific issue (volume and number) by email, but placement is not guaranteed
