Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran pendidikan kecakapan hidup (life skills) di pondok pesantren dalam meningkatkan kemandirian santri. Pondok pesantren, sebagai lembaga pendidikan tradisional di Indonesia, telah lama berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter dan kemandirian santri melalui pendekatan yang terintegrasi antara pendidikan agama dan keterampilan hidup. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh data yang mendeskripsikan tentang sistem pendidikan life skills, proses pembelajaran life skills, hasil pembelajaran life skills dalam peningkatan kemandirian yang dicapai santri di pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian lapangan  dengan  pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi,dokumentasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif  yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data,penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan kecakapan hidup di pondok pesantren berfungsi sebagai fondasi penting dalam menciptakan santri yang mandiri, disiplin, dan siap berkontribusi positif dalam masyarakat, melengkapi pendidikan agama dengan keterampilan esensial untuk kehidupan masa depan.
